USSSA Risk Compliance Steps

REQUIREMENTS (FOR TEAMS WITH MINORS)

If your team roster includes any players under the age of 18 (minors), the following requirements apply:

Requirement: All rostered staff members and players must complete a league-approved Background Check and Phase I of Safe Soccer Clearance (includes SafeSport).

Compliance: You will not be added to an official roster until you have both a passed background check and current SafeSport certification.

Processing Time: The background check process takes 7–14 business days.

Fees: There is a nominal fee for the required background check. There is no cost ($0.00) to complete the Safe Soccer Phase 1 training.

Step 1 - CPL REGISTRATION

If you have not already, please complete your official CPL Registration.

REGISTRATION REQUIREMENTS & SYSTEM SYNCING

Legal Identification: You must use your full legal first and last name for this registration to ensure background check and insurance validity.

US Soccer Learning Center: If you already have an account with the US Soccer Learning Center, you must use the same email address for this registration.

Our system connects to the US Soccer Learning Center to automatically verify your coaching licenses and SafeSport status. Using a different email will result in verification delays.
