EPLWA Players Invited to Join CPL Men’s All-Star Team for Seattle Sounders U20 Showcase

The Cascadia Premier League (CPL) is pleased to announce that players from the Evergreen Premier League Washington (EPLWA) will be invited to join the CPL Men’s All-Star Team for the upcoming showcase match against the Seattle Sounders U20s.

The CPL Men’s All-Star Game will take place on Sunday, June 28th at 8:00 PM at the Sounders FC Center at Longacres in Renton and will bring together some of the top adult amateur players from across Washington State for a unique opportunity to compete against one of the region’s premier youth development programs.

The invitation follows recent discussions between CPL Commissioner Kevin Skinner and EPLWA Vice President of Operations John Crouch regarding opportunities to continue supporting and growing the adult game throughout Washington State.

The CPL entered a new era in 2026 under the leadership of Commissioner Kevin Skinner and General Manager Cynthia Walker-Kennedy. Together, they have led a renewed effort to elevate the league, expand opportunities for players and clubs, and strengthen the profile of adult soccer throughout the Pacific Northwest. Today, the CPL features 16 men’s teams and 14 women’s teams competing across Washington State, making it one of the largest adult soccer leagues in the region.

As part of that vision, the CPL Men’s All-Star Game was created to celebrate the talent, passion, and commitment that exists across the adult soccer community while providing players with memorable experiences and opportunities to showcase their abilities.

“We are incredibly excited to welcome EPLWA players into the CPL Men’s All-Star Team,” said Skinner. “Over the last several months, I’ve had the opportunity to get to know John Crouch, and one thing that has become very clear is how deeply he cares about adult soccer in Washington State. While our leagues operate independently, we share a common belief that creating opportunities for players and supporting the growth of the game benefits everyone.”

Skinner continued:

“This match is about showcasing the very best of Washington soccer. We wanted to create an event that celebrates the players, clubs, coaches, and supporters who continue to invest their time and passion into the adult game. Inviting EPLWA players to be part of that felt like a natural step.”

“EPLWA is pleased to work with the CPL to give players opportunities,” said John Crouch, Vice President of Operations for EPLWA. “This opportunity gives our players a chance to play against a Seattle Sounders U20 side and showcase their skill set while also kicking off collaborative efforts with local leagues in our region that share similar goals for the high-level local game.”

EPLWA clubs have been invited to nominate players for consideration, with selected players joining CPL representatives in a squad that will face the Seattle Sounders U20s later this month.

The CPL Men’s All-Star Team will be selected from nominations submitted by both CPL and EPLWA clubs, bringing together players from across Washington State to represent the broader adult soccer community in one showcase squad.

The inclusion of EPLWA players reflects a shared commitment to strengthening the adult soccer landscape throughout the state and creating meaningful opportunities for players to compete at a high level.

“This isn’t about one league or another,” added Skinner. “It’s about putting the players first and showcasing the incredible quality that exists throughout Washington. The adult game is strongest when people work together, share ideas, and create opportunities. We believe this event is a great example of that.”

Player selections will be finalized in the coming weeks, with invitations expected to be issued by June 11th and the official roster announcement scheduled for mid-June.

The CPL Men’s All-Star Team will face the Seattle Sounders U20s on Sunday, June 28th at 8:00 PM at the Sounders FC Center at Longacres in Renton.

For supporters of adult soccer across Washington, the event represents an opportunity to celebrate the talent, passion, and quality that continues to drive the game forward throughout the region.
